Overview

The four-day loop gives you the full picture of Ha Giang: Vietnam’s northernmost point at Lung Cu, a boat ride through the Tu San Canyon on the Nho Que River and evenings that never feel rushed.

It is the best choice if you want more village time, more photo stops and a sunset party in Dong Van.

Itinerary

  1. Day 0 · Travel day

    Arrive in Ha Giang

    Bus to Ha Giang the day before. Dorm bed at Loop Trails Hostel included.

  2. Day 1 · Tour starts

    Ha Giang → Quan Ba → Yen Minh

    Bac Sum Pass, the Heaven Gate and Twin Mountains, a short trek to Lung Khuy Cave, then Can Ty Pass. Homestay night in Yen Minh.

  3. Day 2

    Yen Minh → Lung Cu → Dong Van

    Tham Ma Pass, a H’Mong village and the H’Mong King’s Palace, then Lung Cu Flag Tower at the top of Vietnam. Sunset party in Dong Van.

  4. Day 3

    Dong Van → Nho Que River → Du Gia

    Ma Pi Leng skywalk and a 1.5-hour boat trip through Tu San Canyon, then Sa Ly Pass and the Nam Lang panorama to Du Gia.

  5. Day 4

    Du Gia → Thai An → Ha Giang

    Waterfall swim, Duong Thuong valley, lunch in Thai An and the Mien River forest road. Back around 16:00.
